The Story of ParkParkPay
We had run parking management and enforcement companies for 20+ years. During that time we have used many of the current online parking payment providers.
We weren't happy with any of them.
There are many reasons why but lets start with the problems for drivers:
They require an app download to use the service which is time consuming on a slow connection.
Vague fees and extras added on top of the payments.
Complex payment forms that are confusing and make it harder to pay.
The reasons for operators:
Most don’t provide full back office access so you're in the dark with the fees being charged and your locations performance.
Not transparent with fees, many of the payment providers cover up what they are actually charging you to use the service.
Too slow or complex, the ones that do provide back office services, it would be slow to load and wouldn’t show everything you need.
With those issues in mind and with us being in a position where we could allocate resources to developing our own system.
The time felt right to build our own system that worked for both operators and drivers.
Our Brand Mission
Our mission is to make online parking payments simple for both car park owners and drivers using our system.
We have used many other providers over the years for our parking management company.
We haven’t been happy with any of them.
We don’t like drivers being forced to download an app. A common practice is to not be transparent with fees charged for drivers and operators.
There were our main concerns with the current providers out there.
We vow to always keep our set-up simple with only what's needed included and to be fully transparent with fees for drivers and operators.
We continue to grow ParkPayStay with this objective in mind.
Our Brand Vision
We hope to inspire change in other parking payment providers to follow the values we do.
We want paying for parking to always remain simple and easy to do.
When you park at a car park you just want to pay and go to do what you need to do as fast as possible.
You don’t want to download an app on a 3G connection, or get stuck on complex payment forms.
For the car park owners you just want to have full control and transparency over your car park payments.
The ultimate vision is to make parking simple again without the stress.
OUR JOURNEY
The Journey of ParkPayStay
Early 2000s
This was when our co-founder first started managing and operating car parks of his own.
End of 2024
This is when we started researching and planning the application. Due to having the time and resources allocated to it.
Early 2025
The development of the app began. We started testing things and making it exactly how we wanted it.
May 2025
For our test launch, we launched it on a few test sites first to get public feedback and see how it compared to the other providers.
November 2025
Our official launch. This is when we rolled it out to more locations and came to the market with our app.
The Future
We are growing and adding new sites every month. We are still working on new features and most importantly keeping our focus on the principles of keeping it simple and user-friendly.
